How do I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online or by mail. To purchase your tickets online ($200 Individual), table ($2,500 Seats 10) or for kids 12 and under ($50) please click here. To purchase tickets by mail please email or call Margaret, 847-431-1209. We recommend that you purchase your tickets soon as last year's event was sold out.

If I buy a ticket is it assigned seating? Or will I be able to sit with my friends?
The blue ribbon tables will be assigned seating at premier tables. Individual seating will be open seating at selected tables.

Chicago Equestrians for a Cause, what's the cause?
Children's Memorial Hospital is one of Chicago's most precious civic assets. As Illinois' only freestanding hospital exclusively for children, Children's Memorial currently cares for more than 126,000 young people annually. The hospital is consistently recognized as one of the top pediatric institutions in North America, and many of its physicians and researchers are among the world's top experts in their areas of specialty. In today's challenging health care environment, the hospital relies on philanthropic support to help ensure that all children have access to the highest quality care.Money raised by Chicago Equestrians for a Cause will support the Founders' Board's five-year, $10 million commitment to the hospital's Department of Family Services. The programs offered by Family Services aim to help patients and families cope with the emotional, developmental and spiritual aspects of a child's illness and hospitalization.

There is a $25,000 purse for the horses and riders which is sponsored by CN

What level of competition is this?
This level of competition holds a USEF special event status and is a member event of the USHJA chronicle of the horse hunter derby series

Is this event part of a larger event?
Yes. At each hunter derby around the country, horse and rider will acumulate points towards qualifying for the finals. At finals, the top 75 horses and riders from around the country will compete over 2 days at the inaugural USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals. The two days of competition will feature the top 75 horses based on the 18 month qualifying period. The first day of the Finals, all 75 horses will compete over a course featuring HPH Hunter Derby style fences including height and handy options. This qualifying round will determine the top 25 to be invited back to compete head to head on day two. Day two will challenge the riders to navigate a classic hunter derby course in order to make the cut to the top 12. The top 12 will return to compete over a handy hunter course for a chance to claim the prestigious title of the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals Champion.
